North and West Clare
The Brothers of Charity Clare provide a range of supports for people with intellectual disabilities, autism and their families around North and West Clare. We have a number of bases close to where people are from which we use to help people access a wide variety of opportunities in areas such as Kilrush, Kilkee, Miltown Malbay and Ennistymon. We also support people in their own homes in these areas, as well as in Lisdoonvarna, Lahinch, Quilty and Cross.
At a community level we are actively working with others to develop inclusive supportive networks that will enhance the quality of life for each other.
Supports that are responsive to individual need.
For the person we support and their family we will strive to help discover opportunities and friendships that will develop in a safe and respectful way.
- to live in places of their choosing,
- to find real employment in the community,
- to have friends among their peer group,
- to be part of their community by volunteering with different community groups, accessing mainstream adult and continuing education and taking part in general leisure activities in the community.
In summary, we support people to have the opportunity to lead a real life in a real place of their choosing. Where they can avail of natural supports and access a variety of things to do that will help them grow with confidence and raised expectation.
